Sony D-10 Discman – Fully restored

Completely restored and re-calibrated Sony D-10 Discman. Includes anti-vibration plate, Sony AC-930A adapter, and AA-battery pack. Battery pack accepts 6xAA alkalines plus two’dummies’ or 8xAA 1.2V rechargeables. Fresh alkaline batteries and’dummies’ included. Not very collectible but definitely my most beautiful D-10 restoration to date. Missing decorative triangle around the OPEN button was re-invented by colored epoxy. Lid was spray-painted with “Anodized Blue” lacquer and then sealed with automotive “Clear Gloss with Ceramic”. Spindle motor and laser sled mechanism were fully disassembled and re-lubed, laser re-calibrated. Smoothing capacitor in AC-930A was substituted for a fresh Nichicon “Muse” electrolytic. For the last few months this D-10 was my personal CD spinner for when firing up main stereo at my “comfort sound levels” (meaning – Loud) was not possible. No glitches on any CDs from my collection.
