The CDP-X555ES DAC includes the incorporation of a digital sink IC jitter suppression (occurring during digital signal transmission). In the DAC system, two CXD-2552s (8fs 45bit noise shaping digital filter) perform 8x oversampling, such that the signal is resampled from 44.1 kHz to 352.8 kHz, allowing removal of any high frequency components that may be introduced in the signal chain. Also in the CXD-2552 are noise-shaping calculations which remove rounding errors in the DAC, which otherwise manifest as noise in the signal. All of these innovations and more allow for the highest possible quality in playback of audio from digital CD sources.
