D-25 is one of the best Discmans ever made, if you Google the reviews it stands its own against The King, D-555… Some say it is because of its 4x oversampling digital filter. Connect D-25 to your main stereo and you won’t be disappointed! Antivibration plate was recycled from Sony CPM-200P car mount plate. Nice equipment rack made my workhorse, Naim CDS3 player sound better, so I figured that doing the same for a Discman can not hurt. A bit wobbly when pressing Play or Stop, not sure if it makes a difference, but it definitely makes me feel Good about myself. Unfortunately, BP-2 rechargeable battery does not last long, quickly discharges in Standby mode, dangerous in real life you should Never leave a charger plugged in overnight with BP-2 battery inside! And that is why 9V, center-negative battery pack is included for your critical listening sessions. Just turn it OFF when not in use.
