This unit looks just like new despite the age. This is a time warp, museum piece condition. 100% working condition, none of the problems associated with laying the CD on incline to get it to play. It has been professionally serviced recently. I have not seen one in such immaculate condition like this. Built like a tank, all metal body and under carriage. This is the most well built audiophile portable CD player ever, equal top status along with Sony’s other unit (D-Z555). This version has the Mega Bass feature. Some other regions or versions of D-350 may have DBB bass boost. This can be powered from 2x AA batteries (not included) or AC power supply (not original with UK plug included). External battery compartment to power unit from AA battery. Original Sony protective case. 240V AC power supply with UK plug. ALL in clean/presentable condition. Unit serial number have been recorded on the last photo. All tested and working. The beauty about this is you can enter directly the desired track number via telephone like numeric keypad. Please this is machine produced before recordable CDs, so it may struggle to read some CD-R and CD-RW. Definitely not compatible with MP3 or WMA files. In this top condition, for sure it will be an appreciating investment. The D-350 Discman was Sonys top offering for the year. As well as including a wide variety of programming and track selection features it was also built to provide top quality sound. 8 times oversampling was employed along with Sonys own CXD2550 digital filter, giving the D-350 a smooth and detailed sound that was on par with the best full sized machines. Sonys Mega Bass was included to improve the sound with small headphones but unlike the previous D-Z555 the processing for this was done using analogue circuits rather than in the digital domain. The D-350 was one of the few CD portables to include direct track access via a numeric keyboard. This worked in conjunction with a music calendar display on the large LCD panel to give a clear overview of the available tracks. Other microprocessor-based features included a digital clock/timer and a programmable fade function. Power came either from a built-in rechargeable battery or two AA cells housed in a clip-on holder that attached to the back of the unit. An impact-resistant outer case was supplied to protect the precision all-metal finish when the D-350 was used outdoors, this was large enough to accommodate the extra battery holder as well. The D-350 is well regarded for its excellent sound quality and will be remembered as one of Sonys very best portable CD players.
