Sony D-9 Discman Complete Set Fully Restored D-90 MINT

Sony D-90 Discman, fully restored, recapped and re-calibrated. Soft case, EBP-2 battery holder, 9V center-negative adapter included. Discmans from my collection sound their best off the batteries. 9V center-negative battery pack is included for your critical listening sessions. Just do not forget to turn it off (or to unplug) when not in use: D-90 draws 40mAmp in Standby/Off mode and drains batteries in less than a week. Same applies to Discman’s internal battery, that is why I personally avoid using them. Main-board recapped, headphone coupling capacitors were upgraded to 200uF Nichicon audio-grade electrolytics. Laser mechanism was completely disassembled, broken plastic gear substituted for the new/molded one, new spindle motor installed. Cosmetically this D-90 is 10/10 – Mint condition. Although not recommended because it stresses the player, this particular D-90 plays even 80+min CD-R. It tracks without glitches skip-test CD (CD with 1mm scratch across the whole disc).
