Up for sale is a vintage Sony D-5 portable CD player. This particular model holds the distinction of being the first portable CD player ever made. Finding a working D-5 is pretty hard to find these days. This particular CD player is pretty good looking for its age and works great. This particular CD player was manufactured in September of 1985. All of the buttons work and display work flawlessly. It sounds fantastic through headphones and through a stereo. It isnt perfect cosmetically but it does still look very nice. It has some minor scratches and scuffs that are most noticeable at the top right portion of the lid near the corner. All defects are visible in the pictures. These models didnt come with battery packs that i know of. Dont miss out on this unique piece of history!
