Vintage 1980s Retro Sony D-88 Discman CD Player Bundle For Parts Not Working

This listing is for a Vintage 1980s Retro Sony D-88 Discman CD Player Bundle. This Discman was previously working just fine. The laser moved and each track on a CD played normally. Sounded fantastic as well. It was stored for awhile and now the laser doesn’t move. I have read this can be from a gummed-up laser track, which could be an easy repair. This particular model is becoming harder to find. This one is very clean, but does need repair as noted. Includes the original case, headphones, charger, and the original battery which is long dead, but still included. Discman powers on and will spin the disc, but the laser doesn’t move.
