Sony DISCMAN D10 with BP100 Battery Pack and Wall Adapter, for Parts or Repair

Vintage Sony D10 DISCMAN CD player in very good to excellent physical condition with just a few scratches mostly on the top edges and bottom. Powers up and reads disc TOC (it knows the number of tracks) but sled does not move so does not play This is a classic very solidly built metal machine. It used to work before being put in storage. Now it would appear the lubrication for the sled movement is gummed up and it’s stuck. Includes BP100 battery pack/mounting plate, soft case, and Sony 9 VDC wall adapter. It will power either direct or through the BP100, though I imagine the battery itself is quite dead and would need to be replaced or rebuilt. If you have some skill in repair, this should be fixable, though working on these can be a challenge to avoid losing screws and damaging cables. Thanks for looking, — sam.
